What Women Should Look Out For When Reading Romance Novels...

Posted by Biablid - Dilthinky on February 20, 2011 at 2:15 AM

Well hello there internet. Remember me? No? Niether do I.

So, I've recently been thinking about how bullshit romance novels are. How it seems every woman who reads them thinks that there is some guy out there who is exactly like the guy in the novel. Well, let me tell you something. There is a reason why that novel is called fiction. Because that's all it is. If you do ever come across a man who is exactly like the one in the novel, you know, the one with the money, the looks, the nice guy, the great sence of humor, the strong one, the one that will do anything and everything for you, the one that likes everything you like, and agrees with everything you say?  Well, let me say this, if you do find him, you should probably double check to make sure he doesn't have a vagina. Also, the man with a large amount of green that he can spend at his discresion, will NOT have time to go out for dinner, to write you love notes, to always be there. The sad fact of reality is that everybody has to choose between money and having a life, a family, friends.

Because of all the romance writers out there who make millions off their repeatedly cliche and predictable novels, they all make us guys feel bad. We all strive to make our woman feel happy, but when we see those things we all feel like shit, because we know that that's what woman REALLY want. And we can't give it to them because of a little thing called reality.

And lastly, but certainly not leastly, in those romance novels, and movies, and whatever the hell else there is out there, when there is ONE fight, only ONE, things go to shit. People "break up", they get sad and depressed, sometimes even kill themselves. I mean, sure, quite often they get back together, but even if they do, it leads more readers to believe that good relationships are only good if you NEVER fight. In my opinion, a relationship is defined by how much stronger a couple is AFTER a fight. So when the woman gets in a fight, they revert back to the novel, and think that it isn't love. I mean, they might also remember that they get back together later, but who needs the unnecessary heart break?

So to the all the woman who are not reading this, remember: Novels are works of fiction. And even though the man in the book (who has a vagina) seems like he loves the woman,  he is also justy black ink on a piece of paper. You're man is real, and loves you more than any other man could love a woman, and tries very hard, every day, to please you, and make you feel like the most important girl in the world. Because to him, you are.
